Join the Blackfoot Children’s Choir – Fall 2025 Enrollment open August 1st!
Choir rehearsals begin September 8th, 2025, and we’re thrilled to welcome a new season of joyful music-making! Rehearsals will be held weekly at Blackfoot Heritage Sixth Grade School, with each session lasting one hour. Poca Voce and Cuore Choir will rehearse Monday evenings (time TBD) and Elite Choir will rehearse Wednesday evenings (time TBD).
We offer a fun and enriching musical experience for children of all ages, with three unique choirs designed to support growth at every stage:
Poca Voce (Ages 5–7)
Cuore Choir (Ages 8–12)
Elite Choir (Ages 10 & up; auditioned)
Led by Amanda Nelson, a passionate music director, professional vocalist, and degreed music educator, each choir focuses on age-appropriate songs, music theory, and healthy vocal techniques.
Students will have the opportunity to perform in concerts throughout the year, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation for future musical pursuits—all in a positive, engaging environment.

Poca Voce is our choir for young singers ages 5-8 (children MUST be enrolled in Kindergarten). This non-auditioned group is all about joyful beginnings—introducing music theory through movement, play, and imagination. Singers learn the foundations of healthy vocal technique in a fun and nurturing environment, building confidence and a lifelong love of music from their very first notes.
Cuore Choir is open to singers age 8 and up who are ready to dive deeper into the world of music. This non-auditioned ensemble builds on the basics with more advanced music theory, sight reading, and even an introduction to instruments. Singers strengthen their vocal technique, explore ear training, and begin harmonizing in multiple parts—all while gaining confidence through solo opportunities and expressive performance.
With cuore—“heart” in Italian—this choir is about more than just music; it’s where growing voices, friendships, and hearts come together.
Elite Choir is our auditioned ensemble for dedicated singers age 10 and up who are ready to take their musicianship to the next level. This group explores advanced choral repertoire and vocal pedagogy while continuing to strengthen music literacy, ear training, and expressive performance. Members of Elite Choir serve as musical leaders within our program and share their voices through meaningful outreach and community performances.
Once you register for Elite Choir, you will receive an email guiding you through the audition process. Auditions will take place 2 weeks before Choir rehearsals start.
